Storage and function is the basis of this living room. With 56 upper bookcase compartments and 10 lower cabinets with adjustable shelving, this homeowner can store their extensive book collection. A fireplace mantle was constructed not only to look good, but also to house speakers for the 5.1 surround sound system. Incorporating audio, visual, media and other electronics into our projects is an area of expertise for Precision Built. An equipment rack is built into the lower left hand corner cabinet with a whisper quiet temperature controlled fan. Shutters cover the two windows in the wall and fold flat against the sides of the bookcases. The window shutters open in four sections, allowing the top or bottom open and close independently. All of the built-ins are constructed from maple hardwood and topped with
a white lacquer finish, with a clear maple countertop.
